President & Chief Executive Officer · Founding Executive
Hrachya Vardanyan, M.D., serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Armenian College of Nursing & Health Sciences (ACNHS) and stands as the founding executive leader responsible for the institution's strategic vision, academic structuring, and international development. His leadership reflects a strong commitment to educational excellence, institutional integrity, and the advancement of nursing and health sciences education through governance-driven, globally conscious academic systems.
Dr. Vardanyan earned his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from Yerevan State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi in 2008, following six years of rigorous medical study and clinical training. This foundation in medicine continues to inform his disciplined, outcomes-oriented approach to institutional leadership and educational program development.
As the founding executive of ACNHS, Dr. Vardanyan has played a defining role in shaping the institution as a modern, academically structured, and internationally oriented college of nursing and health sciences. Under his direction, ACNHS has been developed with a clear emphasis on structured governance, measurable academic outcomes, clinical competence, and regulatory transparency. He has overseen the creation of system-based curricula, structured clinical competency models, and digital academic infrastructure designed to support professional readiness, academic accountability, and international credential evaluation standards.
Dr. Vardanyan's medical education has been formally reviewed by a United States–based credential evaluation authority and assessed as equivalent to a Doctor of Medicine degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution. Engaged in academic and professional initiatives across both Armenia and the United States, he brings a distinctive understanding of international academic frameworks and professional standards that directly informs his governance philosophy at ACNHS.
In addition to his executive and institutional responsibilities, Hrachya A. Vardanyan has contributed to peer-reviewed scientific research in the fields of chronobiology, cardiovascular physiology, and environmental medicine. His published work — authored in collaboration with leading researchers in the field — examines the influence of atmospheric and space-weather conditions on biological rhythms and homeostatic adaptation in clinical populations. The verified publications below have been confirmed through publicly accessible scholarly records including Chronobiology in Medicine and PubMed.
